Credit Card Vs Debit Card. Got Credit Card Debt. We can help!!!

What's the difference between a credit card and debit card?

Check cards or Debit Cards look just like credit cards or ATM cards, but are used just like cash or a check. With a debit card the money that you spend is deducted directly from your checking or savings account whatever you have the card tied to. Debit cards are accepted at many grocery stores, retail stores, gas stations just like credit credit cards. They provide an alternative to carrying a checkbook or cash.

A Credit Card has money that is available to you from a bank or other financial institution. You must repay this amount, plus interest and late fees if you miss a monthly payment.  Try not to let this happen cause then your debt will increase and soon you may find yourself in a financial bind.  Soon you may need debt help. It is often easier to obtain a debit card than a credit card.

Tips For Responsible Use of Debit Cards: If your card is lost or stolen, report it immediately to your financial institution. If you suspect your card is being used fraudulently, report this to your financial institution immediately.Hold onto your receipts from your debit card transactions. A thief may get your name and debit card number from a receipt and order goods by mail or phone. If you have a PIN number, memorize it. Do not keep your PIN number with your card. Don’t choose a PIN number that a smart thief could figure out (i.e., your phone number, date of birth).Never give your PIN number to anyone. Always know how much money you have available in your account. Keep all of your receipts in one place for easy retrieval.

With both a debit card and credit card you need to watch how you spend.  If you are not careful you can wipe out you checking and or savings account and when using a credit card you can spend and spend until you have no more credit.  As long as you can pay back this debt it is fine but if you cant you may be ruining your credit.

Watch how much you spend so you don't need debt help.  But if you do need help with your debts.  Credit counseling may be they solution for you.  The easiest way to stay out of debt is not getting into debt.
