Credit Counseling Programs Equal or Not?
Credit Counseling companies are supposed to help you consolidate your debt, finding a good one is not an easy process.People who are looking for credit counseling and debt consolidation have their hands full already trying to keep up with the financial situation they may be in . So finding an organization that you can trust to handle your credit card accounts is an important. The credit counseling service you choose can save you time and hassles in the future so take time yourself when searching for a company and when speaking to their representatives to make sure you ask the right questions, if some of your questions are rushed through or not answered by the credit counseling company you are talking to at the time you may want to look for another company.
You should find out from the company you plan on going with the following - How often does the company disperse payment to creditors? Are they a not-for-profit orginization? Are they a BBB memeber or related organizations? Are they ISO Certified? Some for profit debt consolidation companies are actually debt collectors in disguise or work directly for your creditors so beware.
